New Years Day?

Now that you’re sober again.. maybe you’ll be more ready to hear the word of God. While millions revel in their “New Years” celebration, we the members of the Israelite Church of God In Jesus Christ, have no regard for January 1st! To us it’s an ordinary day on the calendar. While America rejoices in their parties and toots their horns, throw confetti at each other, and countdown the last 10 seconds on between December 31st and January 1st. We thank our God, that America (according to their calendar) is one year closer to the Judgment written!

7: Why doth one day excel another, when as all the light of every day in the year is of the sun? 8: By the knowledge of the Lord they were distinguished: and he altered seasons and feasts. 9: Some of them hath he made high days, and hallowed them, and some of them hath he made ordinary days.”
Ecclesiasticus 33:7-9 (Apocrypha)

The God of Israel gave his people the correct guidelines for telling time. Before the invention of the watches or clocks, ancient peoples used the sundial, to chart the movement of the sun. These so-called astronomers and physicists don’t have a clue how to tell time correctly. That’s why they count 12am as the beginning of a new day. By definition alone, that’s is ridiculous. How can a new day begin at mid (middle) night?

“The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.”
Ecclestiastes 1:5

and again …

“Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.”
Isaiah 38:8

Also, when you read Genesis chapter 1..

14: And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16: And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17: And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18: And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19: And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.”
Genesis 1:14-19

On the 4th day of creation, the Almighty made the sun, moon and starts. One of their purposes was so that the Children of God (The Israelites) would be able to tell time. When you read the scriptures on how time was being recorded. In order for the children of Israel to know how to calculate time, we were given the knowledge of astronomy. The positions of stars, and the knowledge of the phases of the moon.

17: For he hath given me certain knowledge of the things that are, namely, to know how the world was made, and the operation of the elements: 18: The beginning, ending, and midst of the times: the alterations of the turning of the sun, and the change of seasons: 19: The circuits of years, and the positions of stars:”
Wisdom of Solomon 7:17-18 (Apocrypha)

King Solomon understood how to tell time… by the sun, moon and stars! And again..

7: From the moon is the sign of feasts, a light that decreaseth in her perfection. 8: The month is called after her name, increasing wonderfully in her changing, being an instrument of the armies above, shining in the firmament of heaven
Ecclesiasticus 43:7-8 (Apocrypha)

The Israelites could track time by using the lunar calendar! Also the scriptures tell us that the calculation of time (calendar) is divided into 4 seasons. In these seasons, there are High Holy Days, and there are regular days ..like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and like December 31st. The custom of Old man winter being replaced by the New Year’s baby is a heathenish custom and the worship of Nimrod as a baby (or a Putti). As we read in Ecclesiasticus 33, the Lord altered seasons. Now between December – January, it is cold. This is the winter season, a time of hibernation ad death to any plant or animal that gets caught in the “fury of winter”. When the temperature is at it’s lowest. When there is less sunlight than at any other time of the year.

AND THIS IS THE TIME YOU CHOOSE TO CELEBRATE A NEW YEAR?

win·ter –noun

1. the cold season between autumn and spring in northern latitudes (in the Northern Hemisphere from the winter solstice to the vernal equinox; in the Southern Hemisphere from the summer solstice to the autumnal equinox).
2. the months of December, January, and February in the U.S.,
Source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/winter

Now, let’s look up Spring…

spring – verb, sprang or, often, sprung; sprung; spring·ing; noun, adjective
5. to come into being by growth, as from a seed or germ, bulb, root, etc.; grow, as plants.
37. the season between winter and summer: in the Northern Hemisphere from the vernal equinox to the summer solstice; in the Southern Hemisphere from the autumnal equinox to the winter solstice.
38. (in temperate zones) the season of the year following winter and characterized by the budding of trees, growth of plants, the onset of warmer weather, etc.
Source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/spring

So springtime is when all the animals and plants come back to life.

1: And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2: This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. 11: And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’s passover.
Exodus 12:1-2, 11

The name given to the first month of the year was Abib.

1: Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night. 2: Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.”
Deuteronomy 16:1-2

So for the children of Israel, our new years, is in the 1st Season of the year, in the spring time! To some that may seem foolish. Why would you want to celebrate the New Year in April?… hence, “April Fools”. Consider this.

Chinese New year – between January 21st and February 21st
Eastern Orthodox church – January 14th
Tibetan New year – Between January and March
The Sikh Nanakshah1 calendar – March 14th
Bahai calender – March 21st
Hindu New year – March or April

These nations are guessing..lol So which one of these days are accurate?

Zondervan Compact Bible Dictionary / page: 13
Abib “The preexilic name for the first month of the year. After the exile the name was changed to Nissan. It fell about our March and early April”

When you read the book of Luke, chapter 2. Joseph and Mary were not only going to Jerusalem for the observation of the Passover (March-April), but also at that time Augustus Caesar had instituted a tax system on the nation of Israel (following the footsteps of Cyrenius, the governor of Syria). Tax season is in APril people!

So the true new years is in the spring time, not in the dead of winter. Even the animals know this and remain in hibernation!

So what does January 1st really represent! None other than the worhsip of Nimrod – the New Years baby a.k.a Cupid. As in all his feast days, there is unrestrained partying and drinking (he is also called Pan).

The result? Every January 1st, you see this on all the major highways… drunk driver kills 2 or three people.

And let’s not forget those fake new years resolutions ..or oaths that you take!

If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.”
Numbers 30:2

Israel, don’t you know that you have to keep all your vain resolutions? Come out of her my people!

Praise the Most High for giving us the laws. I am so greatful for the knowledge and accurateness of the word of our Lord. It is refreshing to know that we still have a chance to change and redeem ourselves. Thawadah a million for this excellent information.
Question: Were our brothers the Aztecs and Mayans (Issachar) accurate with their calendar? I understand that the Edomites are trying to figure it out. Do you have a comment?
Next question: In our true calendar the 1st month is Abib do we still have 12 months in the year? I know that the calendar that we follow is somewhat not accurate for ex: December should be the 10th month according to the latin root, but presently is the 12th month?????
Thawadah!! for putting the seal on this information w/ the scripture Num 30:2 Great!!!! No excuses now….!!!
    Shalam.

    Shalam,
Let me answer the second question first.. the answer is yes, we always had 12 months. Let’s read Genesis chapter 1.

“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:”
    Genesis 1:14

There are twelve NEW moons every year.. and 12 FULL moons… the word month comes from the word moon.. hence 12 NEW months every year.

“6: He made the moon also to serve in her season for a declaration of times, and a sign of the world. 7: From the moon is the sign of feasts, a light that decreaseth in her perfection. The month is called after her name, increasing wonderfully in her changing, being an instrument of the armies above, shining in the firmament of heaven”
    Ecclesiasticus 43:6-8 (Apocrypha)

Ok.. moving on to proving the 12 months..

When you read 1 Chronicles 27:1-15 – it gives you the schedule for the captains for one year.

Look at verse 1: “Now the children of Israel after their number, to wit, the chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, of every course were twenty and four thousand.”

Now verse 15: “The twelfth captain for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.”

Here are a few other precepts…

“1: And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2: In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”
    Revelation 22:1-2

12 manner of fruit …EVERY month!

    And finally …

“Now when every maid’s turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)”
    Ester 2:12

As far as the names of the month go ..Our calendar is the Lunar calendar … the Julian and Georgian calendars have September (7), October (8) and December (10) in that order.

If you have a copy of the complete Flavius Josephus, there is a chart in the back that list the names of the months on our calendar and the corresponding latin and Babylonian names. Please bear in mind however that out months really go from 1st to 12th.

    First question:
Now as far as Issachar’s “Aztec” calendar being accurate.. that’s a no. The reason is because of how they recorded their time. The scriptures tell us the correct way how to record time.

    12 hours = day
    12 hours = night

“Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.”
    John 11:9

    7 days per week

“2: And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3: And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”
    Genesis 2:1-2

    12 months in a year …

“And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying”
    Ezekiel 32:1

Now when you calculate that you get this..

    12 hours day / 12 hours night = 24 hours
    7 days per week
    30 days in a month
    12 months in a year
1 new / full moon / per month
360 days per year (360 being the total amount of degrees in a circle)

    According to the Aztec calendar:

There are actually two different ways to read the Aztec calendar…

    1. Tonalpohualli calendar:
Each day (Tonali) was dedicated to a different “god”. They had 20 day signs to represent these idols.
They had 18 months ( trecenas) which put the annual calendar at 260 days. Each month (trecenas) there is a different idol that rules for 13 days.

    2. The xiuhpohualli calendar:
This calendar has 365 days in the year (xihuitl)
Each year has 18 months (meztli) and 20 days (plus five extra bad-luck days)
The last day of the year is called “xihuitl” which changes every year.
Somehow they calculated that every 52 years (xiuhmolpilli) they end up with the calendar having the same name.

The rest of the information I have on the Aztec calendar is different so-called scholars giving their opinions on how to explain the calendar.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
    Shalam
