The Whole Truth

The Whole Truth

WHO TOOK THE ‘Neighbor’ OUT OF OUR ‘Hood?’
He’s from, ‘the hood.’ She’s from, ‘the hood.’ They’ from, ‘the hood.’
It seems like, where I come from, I hear this term almost every day. But wait a minute, isn’t there something missing? What ever happened to the ‘neighbor’ part? If I remember correctly, the word is supposed to be ‘neighborhood,’ ….isn’t it? So how is it that now, in the day and age that we live in today, the most important part of the word is some how missing? After all, what is any community without neighbors? Without neighbors, all you have is a collection of people who simply live around each other. These people don’t know one another, they don’t interact with one another, nor do they really care about each outer. Ask yourself, how many people (on your block) do you know on a first-name basis? Of the people who you do happen to know by name, how much do you really know about them? Where do they work? How many children do they have? Do they have any illnesses that might require the assistance of.…a ’neighbor?’ There was a time, years ago, when communities were close nit. Children felt like they couldn’t get away with anything because they knew: if their parents didn’t see it, Ms. Brown, up-the-block, surely would. Not only that, they knew that Ms. Brown, or Mr. Smith, or Mrs. Johnson, etc. would tell on them if they were caught doing something they weren’t supposed to be doing. I’ve got news for you, there’s a whole lot of value in this concept. When people develop personal relationships with the people around them, EVERYTHING seems to work out better. People start to live by the old adage ‘I’ll watch your back (door); you watch my back (door).’ If I ‘know’ Mr. Jones across the street, and I see someone trying to break into his house, I’m certainly going to call the police and then call Mr. Jones himself to let him know what’s going on. But If I don’t ‘know’ him, I’m more than likely going to just close my blinds and turn up the volume on the TV set. Mr. Jones could be sick and bed ridden. If I ‘know’ Mr. Jones, I’m more than likely going to call him, and ask if he needs anything from the grocery store or the supermarket. In our communities, we have become a collection of small islands, living on one big island. This, my friends, is DANGEROUS! Our enemies knew just what to do to destroy us. It’s an old strategy in war. In case you’re not familiar with it, it’s called: “Divide and conquer!” They put us in these large communities living in close proximity to one another and then told us that it wasn’t ‘cool’ to interact with one another. How malicious was that!
What most people don’t realize, however, is that we are still feeling the effects of a curse that was brought upon us by God. The people of Negroid, Native American Indian, and Hispanic decent are the true biblical Israelites that you read about in the Holy Bible. In the book of KJV Daniel 9:11 it says, “all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we sinned against him.” In the book of KJV Deuteronomy 28:64 Moses prophesized how the children of Israel would be ‘scattered’ among all people. In verse 65 it says, “And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and have none assurance of thy life.” I don’t know about you, but I heard gun-shots outside of my window JUST LAST NIGHT! Unfortunately, this is the reality for most people who live in ‘the hood.’ Jesus Christ said in the book of Matthew 24:12, “and because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” People don’t even want to speak to one-another in ‘the hood’ any more. Even the way our neighborhoods are laid out is a curse. Isaiah 5:8 says, “Woe unto them that join house to house,” When you look at most urban ghetto areas, that exactly what you see.…isn’t it?
Now that you know that this is a curse that was brought upon us by God ALMIGHTY, it’s time to start asking, how can we get ourselves out of this condition? Believe it or not, it starts with us coming back to the knowledge of who we are according to the Holy Bible. KJV Zephaniah 2:1 says, ”Gather yourselves together, yea gather together, O nation not desired.” We, (the people of Negroid, Native American Indian, and Hispanic decent), must come back to our true nationality. Once we begin to claim our culture again, and once we start being obedient to God again, it’s only a matter of time before we start to see the ‘neighbor’ being put back into our ‘hoods’ again.

This is so true and absolutely well said. The title is beautiful and the message is on point. The Lord has been bringing us closer together through his Word, teaching us how to deal with one another. I love to see the hard work and diligence of our brothers in getting the message out. This is real beautiful. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has been doing a mighty work in brining our people back and out of darkness. Praise our God for our Holy leadership and instructors in righteousness.
Shalam to all of you brothers and sisters out in Kansas City.
