They claimed being ” an island surrounded by sea of Moslem.” Menelik was a ruthless king who conqured the two Moslem nations, WOLLO and Harar. Ras MOkonen was appointed by Menelik as Governor of Harar. His son Haille Selasie was born in Gara Mulata, near Harar. Haille Selasie had no blood linkage with Menelik, but through maneuvering organized a mob with the support of church and overthrew King Eliase who was on visit to Harar and Jigjiga.Eliase who was the son of King Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Wollo, who was captured by Menelik and forced to convert to christianity.Though he verbally accepted the change of faith,his heart remain intact in his faith.
Eliase mobolised Somalis as well as other Moslems and waged a war against christian mobs. The two opposing force met at Asaba Tafere area. Unfortunately, ELiase was defeated and taken to Addis Abeba where he remained in jail. The defeat of Eliase was the culmination of the last chance that Ethiopia would have remained under Moslem rule. While Eliase was on visit to Moslem area, the French Consulate in Dire Dawa was sending message to Addis Ababa telling them Eliase was organizing arms to turn Ethiopia into a Moslem nation.
Having defeated the last Moslem uprising, the daughter of Menelik became the Queen of Ethiopia, and Haille Selasie, the crown prince. It was by means of conniving with Chritian church against Eliase that H.S. became king following the death of Queen Zawdito. During Second World War, when Italy invaded Ethiopia, Haille Selasie killed Eliase in Jail before he fled the country to England. The reason why he killed Eliase at the moment of his departure was that he had the opinion that Italy would appoint Eliase in his absentia.

Haile Selassie did not call himself these things. They where appointed to him at the time of his baptism.

Did you read anything about his life? Have your read any words he himself has written? I agree that calling him god incarnate is quite possibly farfetched. His words have rung true to me. Well Mr. Butler, I see you are at no shortage of words… however the servants of the Lord must not strive…and though I truly suspect that you may have simply “copied and pasted from WIKI”.. Well the reason for that is because we are the only ones (church, organization or otherwise) that’s teaching the truth about the Bible and about all phony religions, that try justify their beliefs using the Bible.. so not only have we proven that Selassie cannot be a son of Solomon, we have also proven that unless he is in fact and Israelite.. in Isaiah ch. 40 vs. 17 . the God of Israel .. the real “King of Kings” says that all these nations “are as nothing”.. Which will of course include Selassie and all his people that follow him.

As was already proven the Ethiopians are the descents of the Ancient Babylonians .. and any “godworshipping” person that reads the Bible already knows that the Lord has slated ALL the children of Babylon (including America the “Virgin Daughter of Babylon”) for complete destruction..

The “Chaldeans” I’m sure you are aware.. are the ancient Babylonians.. These were the wise men of Ethiopia.

So what did these foolish people do?

That’s how the Ethiopians got in that land, now all of a sudden they claim they are from the lineage of Israel!? in your explanation of women being dogs (very informative by the way), can you give me the background of the passages? You keep saying this is Gods word. Who wrote it? I tell you the truth when I say that God himself did not pick up a pen and write those passages. Who where they written for? It is a different world now than when these historic words were written.
I believe in the message of adultery and sin but if you are implying that only one race is allowed into the kingdom of heaven or are in some way holier than any other that just feels wrong doesn’t it? Isn’t that what lead to slavery and the kind of corruption and destruction that directly goes against everything holy. First, all these sources that you cited about Solomon and Menelik are fictitious misunderstandings by foolish and unlearned men that are claiming to see something that’s not there. Now as much as you hypocrites question who wrote the Bible.. BUT yet, you are all quick to cite a verse in the Bible where The Queen of Sheba came to meet Solomon! This Ethiopian woman, as you should already know are the Chaldeans, and they were known for their wisdom..however, when she met Solomon, she realized that just like the scriptures say in 1 Corinthians chapter 1 “The wisdom of this world is foolishness..”
After this meeting..she was sent home!

Now, All these guys you quoted claim that some how Solomon had a son named David II, right? Now where is that in the scriptures that Solomon had a son named Menelik or David II?

So all her desire was that he answered every question and sent her home….but some people claim that meant that he got her pregnant and sent her home…when did that happen?

* In what chapter/verse or on what page can we read where the Queen of Sheba sent messengers to King Solomon that his son was born in Ethiopia?
* At what point in the books of Kings, Chronicles or in any of the writings of the Bible did King Solomon send for his son Menelik?
* When the Kingdom was split in two (Judah and Israel), why is there no mention of a king named Menelik?

So many people put so much faith in this one account of the only meeting of Solomon and Makeda (Queen of Sheba) when in fact, it is well documented in Ethiopian history that the story of Menelik is a fable.

The point I made with this article was proving that Selassie is NOT a holy man. As you mentioned, hes is honored by peoples in Latin America, North America and no thanks to Marcus Garvey, the Caribbean.

These people that you have mentioned are the Biblical Israelites and they have honored a man (Selassie) that was falsely promoted as being the re-incarnation of Jesus Christ (hence he was given the titles King of Kings and Lion of Judah)… furthermore… the “legend” that Marcus Garvey used was a “private interpretation” of the Bible.. he put a “heathen” in the place of the Son of God.. and that has to be cleared up.. that Selassie has no lineage going back to King Solomon.

As far as the flag is concerned, that was to show people that follow this cult so-called “Rastafarians” .. The flag that they have with the lion, is not even a real flag. That was the point.

Lastly he was called more than shrewd.. his own people have listed him as one of the worst dictators they ever had in Ethiopian history.
